At LCCF we work so that BCS Children and Adolescents with congenital heart
defects have permanent access to quality and comprehensive medical care.

Cancer is the leading cause of death due to illness among children ages 5 to 14 years in Baja California Sur.
Through our collaborative and multidisciplinary approach, your contributions

support, and, most importantly, hope for families affected by cancer in Baja
California Sur.

In Baja California Sur, an estimated 97,032 Children and Adolescents are living in conditions of poverty, with nearly half of them facing difficulties accessing healthcare.
At LCCF we contribute to the reduction of Children and Adolescent mortality and
morbidity by promoting the opening of better healthcare spaces such as pediatric
intensive care units. Their planned and careful installation can easily reduce
mortality by at least 50%.
Together, we transform family concerns into hope by facilitating access to
specialized medical services, with the necessary equipment and supplies to care
for children.

According to the census conducted by the National Institute for Statistics and Geography (INEGI) in 2020, an estimated 11,600 Children and Adolescents with disabilities live in Baja California Sur.
This health issue has seen remarkable growth. Los Cabos Children's Foundation
supports 11 entities devoted to addressing motor and intellectual disabilities
as well as neurodiverse conditions, such as autism, which currently constitute

Since 2017, Los Cabos Children's Foundation has supported medical follow-up and
provided the necessary medications for the healthy development of mothers and

Approximately 798,447 people live in Baja California Sur, 171,506 of whom face food insecurity. Among those, it is estimated that a quarter are under 15 years of age.
Preventive medicine focuses on individuals and communities with medical
practices that help prevent and avoid disease. One of the most effective tools
to promote physical and mental health is the adoption of healthy habits such as
adequate nutrition, physical activity, and quality sleep. We work with Partner
Programs dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Children and
Adolescents in BCS by promoting healthy eating and providing support to prevent
and intervene in the consumption of harmful substances.
