We co-invest in organizations and government institutions that work for the health and well-being of children in Baja California Sur. Each year we support our network of Partner Programs with funds to finance their projects and programs, as well as through various training and capacity-building initiatives.
Since 2017, we have opened an annual grant application process for organizations working on health and well-being issues for Children and Adolescents in Baja California Sur to apply for financial support through a project proposal. If you are interested in participating, please email programas@loscaboschildren.org for more details.
Los Cabos Children’s Foundation’s Capacity Building Program was born in 2016, as a tool to provide the different programs supported by LCCF a space for integration where they could share experiences and work together.
In 2018, based on identification of specific training needs, we focused on providing more
opportunities to strengthen related professionalization, best practices, and transparency.
This included operational issues, such as board of directors’ management and fundraising,
among others.
We seek to enhance the capacities of nonprofits in Baja California Sur, which is why in
2020, our Capacity Building Program evolved to become one of the internal programs of LCCF
with an operating budget. With support from our Strategic Partner, the Mexican Center for
Philanthropy (CEMEFI), we increased the number of training sessions and referred our Partner
Programs so they could receive various specialized support services. If you want to join,
we ask you to contact us at the following email: innovacion@loscaboschildren.org
LCCF Volunteering was formally born in Los Cabos in 2015, in response to the interest of people in the community to offer their talents, skills, and passions for the benefit of Children and Adolescents and their families. For 9 years, our volunteers have worked on the program’s goals and structure, managing to consolidate itself as an internal program with its own mission, vision, and values, aligned with those of Los Cabos Children's Foundation.
Our volunteers’ time and talent are divided into 3 volunteering opportunities:
Be part of the mission of Los Cabos Children’s Foundation!
Our Community Attention Program was created in 2016, with the purpose of serving Children and Adolescents with critical health needs that are not covered by their healthcare provider or that their family cannot afford.
We provide guidance through our knowledge of the health context, make referrals through our
network of Partner Programs and Strategic Allies, and give in-kind support such as
medications, tests, or procedures that improve the child's quality of life.
In the following diagram, you can find the support stages of the Community Attention
Program, which begins with the receipt of this

Once your information has been received, the Community Attention team will review the case

When it is not possible to receive support from your health institution, we will look for other organizations or government institutions that can offer support.
When the previous options are not possible, we support you with necessary medication, supplies, tests, consultations, or procedures.
Our Strategic Allies help us achieve our mission. It is thanks to them that we can multiply the effects of our actions with the goal of serving the families of Baja California Sur.
They support us to bring special projects and programs to fruition that improve access to children’s health and well-being.
They support us by leading the operation and facilitating the means for creation and implementation of projects that improve access to health and well-being services for children.
They support us with the creation of spaces for training and strengthening civil society groups based on a human rights focus that allows for the continuous improvement and growth of the organizations.
Every contribution counts and can have a significant impact in the lives of thousands of families.
